Ardex Concrete Countertop

I am in the midst of doing ardex on my kitchen counters as well.

I just completed my ardex counters about a week ago. They told me to dilute with water in a 1 1 ratio and apply 3 4 coats. I wanted the black counter look but as i was searching the web for the pigments to mix with the concrete i noticed the shipping charges were in most cases more than the cost of the product itself. Just make sure whatever surface you apply it on doesn t move expand or shrink with humidity you don t want it to crack.

This example uses about 1 5 bags large at least 8 trowel. I m not an expert this is simply my personal experience. My total cost for this project was 50 well under my 100 budget. But you will be cleaning up either way.

Also ardex sells self leveling concrete just to make life a little bit more easy. And if you get any little specks of concrete on your cabinets you can scrub them off pretty easy. You pretty much have one chance to smooth out or else you have to wait until it dries to sand over and apply a new layer.
